How the calculator decides
The calculator adds the trading value of everything on each side and compares the totals against the larger side. If you gain more than 5% it reports a win, if you lose more than 5% it reports a loss, and anything in between is fair. It also averages the demand of each side, because a trade that is even on paper can still be bad if you are taking items nobody wants.

Every combination you build has its own link. Copy the share link and send it to the other trader so you are both looking at the same numbers instead of arguing about them.
When a “loss” is still worth taking
Overpaying makes sense in three cases: the item is hard to obtain and you actually want to use it, you are consolidating several low-demand items into one high-demand item, or the item you are receiving is trending upward. Outside those cases, a loss verdict is a loss.
